Every year, the Parent-Teacher-Organization (PTO) organizes programs and fundraises to support curriculum, enrichment programs and community events at Mason-Rice.  We meet a critical need in our school by providing funding for programs, initiatives, and supplies that are not available through the Newton Public Schools.  (The PTO is not allowed to fund the following: teachers, classes, school building related enhancements or maintenance, except annually on Newton Serves, or school building operations.).  Learn more bout Budget/Per Student Cost Allocation for the PTO Budget.

Fundraisers: Including Dues Campaign, Fools' Folly Auction/Raffle, Book Fair, Kids Raffle Basket, Logo items, School Pictures,  and Shopping links.  Fundraisers are assessed annually.

Enrichment: Including Creative Arts and Sciences, Library Support Programs, Musical Mornings, Science Discovery Week, Book Swap and Crystal Lake Classroom.

Community Events: Including World Cultures Festival, Mason-Rice Moms/Dads/Family Nights Out, School Picnics, Annual Fun Run, and Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Outreach: Including Respect for Human Differences, Understanding our Differences, Social Action Committee and Green Team

5th Grade Activities: Including A+ Literary Magazine, Graduation and Bake Sale
