The Mason-Rice Parent-Teacher-Organization (PTO) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization committed to enriching our  children’s educational experiences at Mason-Rice and building a vibrant community at our school.

WHY DO WE FUNDRAISE? Every year, the PTO organizes programs and fundraises to support curriculum, enrichment programs and community events at Mason-Rice.  We meet a critical need in our school by providing funding for programs, initiatives, and supplies that are not available through the Newton Public Schools.  The PTO is not allowed to fund the following: teachers, classes, school building related enhancements or maintenance, except annually on Newton Serves.

HOW WE FUNDRAISE?  Every year, the PTO organizes fundraisers.  These financial donations provide for fundring these enrichment programs and critical supplies for all of our classrooms throughout the year.  We encourage donations in all ways  - financial - time - materials - and we appreciate all levels of contribution.  ALL DONATIONS support the Mason-Rice PTO annual budget of ~$67,000.
