Raffle Baskets is the third largest fundraiser for the PTO and the one most enjoyed by the kids!
What's Involved: Each classroom is asked to put together a basket of goodies based on a theme that is chosen by the teacher and the children in the classroom. Room parents then contact the parents to request that they donate an item or items based on that theme, costing between $5 and $10, to include in the basket. The basket should focus on items for kids, geared toward elementary age children. When the baskets are completed, they are wrapped and displayed in the lobby for the children to see. Kids can then purchase raffle tickets for whatever basket or baskets they want. At the end of the raffle basket period, winners for each basket are selected by a random drawing of names from a hat.

Mid January: All items due in the classroom. The baskets will be collected and wrapped.
Last week of January: The baskets will be put on display in the school lobby. You will receive a raffle booklet listing each basket and the content of each basket, as well as other raffle items such as excursions with teachers. (Detailed contents of each basket will be available online.) Raffle tickets will be printed in this booklet, and can be filled out and returned to the MR Kids Raffle drawer in the front lobby of school. If you are not in the school for drop-off or pick-up, you can mail your tickets to Debbi Kim at 49 Floral Street, Newton, MA. 02461.
First week of February - Raffle Tickets Due Dates: Raffle tickets mailed in must be received no later than Wednesday of that week. All other tickets are due on Friday, at 9:00AM.
Raffle Winners Posted on Last Day: Winners list will be posted in the lobby at 3:00pm. Raffle baskets can be taken home that day.
