Technology is an integral part of learning at Mason-Rice. Our Technology Commitee is made up of volunteer parents, teachers and principal. Technology is an area that is funded annually by the Mason-Rice PTO. In the annual PTO budget, about $5,000 is allocated to technology maintenance, or $11 of the $150/cost per student. From time to time, the PTO Board has allocated surplus from fundraising efforts and have created a Technology Reserve to fund purchases of new equipment. Please review the PTO financials to view status of the Technology Reserve.
The goal of the committee is to continuously assess the technology needs in our classrooms, and to provide recommendations on technology implementation. This includes laptops and desktops for classroom, teacher laptops, projectors, document cameras, interactive whiteboard, cameras, etc. The commitee meets 4 to 6 times a week. For more information about the technology, contact Mark Springer.
The current commitee members include:
- Parents: Lee Campbell, May Chiu, Anthony Deighton, Andy Gelbert, Rhanna Kidwell
- Teachers: Mike Costello, Arthur Williams
- Principal: Mark Springer
