How can I publicize an event with flyers? In an effort to go green and be environmentally conscious, we have tried to limit the number of hard copies flyers that are distributed in the backpacks. If you would like to have a flyer distributed in the backpacks, please consult with the PTO co-Presidents before doing so. If you have been given the okay to make hard copy flyers, make your copies. Get a copy of the youngest child list from the co-Presidents, make copies, and leave each teacher with their list and copies in the teachers' mailboxes located in the school office. There is a list posted below the mailboxes with the number of students in each class.

If you are a committee head responsible for an event or program that takes in multiple sums of money (i.e. individual checks from parents) or pays out large sums of money (for expenses), we would request that you keep your own individual tally of all those sums coming in or going out, and that you reconcile your tally with any checks that are being deposited and checks that are being written This will ensure that everything is properly accounted for.
Newton Public School Gift Policy. The Newton School Committee has set a Gift Policy that no teacher in the performance of regular duties shall receive presents from the pupils or parents under her or his direction. There are several opportunities for parents to recognize their appreciation for the faculty through donation programs (library gift fund, classroom gift, Newton School Foundation Hono thy Teacher Program, etc). Contact your classroom Room Parents or any co-PTO President.
