In-class volunteer opportunities are at the teacher’s discretion. Sign-ups for classroom activity, whether as field trip chaperones or to assist with in-class project must be coordinated through the teacher. When in-class volunteers are needed, Room Parents will often coordinate sign-ups.

Guidelines for Classroom Volunteers

Please follow the teacher's plans and wishes: Each teacher has his/her own style of doing things.
Be supportive of all children and their efforts. Your positive remarks and attitude will make each child feel good about his/her effort.
Respect confidentiality. Please do not discuss a child's behavior, ability, appearance or health with other parents.
Please refer discipline issues to the teacher - just let the teacher know.
Please let your child know that you are there to help all the children in the class.
Let the teacher or the Room Parent know ahead of time if you need to cancel.

Have FUN and THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING! Your time and commitment makes a tremendous difference to all the children in the class.
